Merry Christmas !!
Our Christmas craft this year was fun, inexpensive and easy. Our youngest son helped with the shopping and the oldest son drew many of the snowman faces and mixing up the second batch of pretzels. When it came to the second batch (a week apart from the first) I should have double checked the oven temp, at about 8mins into it i had set off the smoke alarms and burnt 1/3 of the bag….
Here is a breakdown of what we combined to make this cool gift:
- The “white drawstring bags” were purchased online at Action Bag Company (ActionBag.com) 6w x 8h – 30 – $0.33 each + shipping.
- The sharpie fabric markers were from Walmart, about $6.50.
- Mini Pretzels – (4) 1 lb bags, price varies
- Cinnamon, pantry item
- Sugar, pantry item
- Custom designed tags, printed on plain paper
1 (16 oz) bag pretzel twists
⅔ cup olive oil
½ cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Pour pretzels into a large bowl. Cover with olive oil, cinnamon and sugar. Spread pretzels on baking sheet. Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes, removing three times to stir.
I found and revised the Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels recipe online, Pinterest Search. The bags were a combination of ideas I saw online.
Enjoy your holiday!
